Cross-Country

On monday we had cross country first it was the year six's first my brother came first by quite a lot then 2nd place for year 6 boy was a kid called oliver and then 3rd place angus.Next it was my race the teacher Matua Nic had some blocks and he claped them together and we sprinted for a while then I kept a steady pace. There is a place in the course called the dip it is like a giant hole that you run in.The entire course is 2 km it is tiring but the inter school is a lot more tiring because it is 3 km after all I came 2nd just though I nearly got first. It was fun over all.

Pihitia station

 Last Tuesday we went to Pihitia Station. First, we went to see a cow and how diary things are made with milk like cheese and whip cream and chocolate milk. I patted the cow without getting kicked in the face. The cow was very big. Sophie the person who was showing us the cow gave us a jar of something I am pretty sure it was cream. We had to shake it a lot to make it butter. We did not get to keep it in the end though.

Next we went to a shed where there was a butcher. He cut up a sheep. The meat looked yum some kids decided to go outside because they didn't want to see the meat get cut up. Maybe it was because they were vegetarians, maybe I am not sure. The man had a machine that is like a saw but it is automatic he used it to cut up some meat.

After that we went to weigh some sheep. There were a lot of big ones but some did not weigh as much. We also went outside to look at some sheep in a paddock there were two dogs one was called Cruz and the other one was Boy. Cruz did the barking at the sheep and Boy stared at them if they tried to escape. They had a call and a whistle and they would do their thing. After that we went inside to look at a drone fly around it had a camera and that was hooked up to a tv we saw a person tipped on a quad bike but then my friend who lives at the farm said that it was fake so that gave it away. It was fun.

Ice Cream Sundae

 last thursday when our teacher left sadly but on that day we had shared lunch and made an ice cream sundae it was for an work shop activity so first. we headed to the staff room you probably do not know what that is it just is where the teachers go so first we got the ice cream out from the freezer and got some chocolate sauce and marshmallow since there was no pink wafer. The teacher gave us someone else's instruction to read.It was very yum but it was sad that our teacher left.

The beach

 On Monday and Tuesday we went to the beach it was very fun because we found a shovel in the sand. On the first day and we dug a deep hole and one of my friends made a super good chair by it made from sand.I was walking around looking at other people's creation they were cool.

   Day 2

On Tuesday we went as close to the water as we were aloud to then we made a chungus wall. We had a little pool behind big chungus. we tried to make sure that the water didn't get in to the little pool.It hit once and destroyed the little pool so we just tried to make the big chungus stay alive.

 

Rugby

The game of rugby on friday was awesome we faced manutuke it was hard but I still liked it. They were big and good as I think they were year sevens because they were so big.I still had a lot fun.I got four tries. They bet by so much I didn't care that we lost I still had so much fun.

After the game we got to eat a lot of food before we ate they said a kara kea then we ate the food it was so yum.I ate muffins,pies like mince and egg and bacon,sausage's and cake I was so full I could of vomited then we headed back to school.

I know what your thinking What is ltp well it stands for Learning Through Play.There is 4 different places to choose from  makey makey, junkie monkey,planet contraction  and card nation.I did planet contraction I made a kinda axe knife thing it was cool.We did it for about an hour.The next day I did the same thing.Next week i'm going to do makey makey.

graffiti

This week we were learning about graffiti I think it is when you draw or spray paint on a wall or surface.If it is grafiti if you draw on someone else's property But if you have permission it is okay. I think it is pretty cool because it is a bunch of cool pictures and writing like this one write here.It looks very hard I definitely could not do anything like this one.I wish that I could do it.
