Cookies

Since lockdown has started I have been doing a lot of baking, but my favourite baking was the chocolate chip cookies. It is a very simple dish but it tastes so goooood! I will tell you the how to make them.

Ingredients

200 g butter

1 cup white sugar

1 cup soft brown sugar

2 eggs

2 tsp vanilla essence

3 cups standard grade flour

Pinch of salt

1 tsp baking powder

2 cups chocolate chips

  1.   oven to 180°C bake and grease or line two large baking trays with baking paper.

  2. Melt Butter, then add White Sugar and Soft Brown Sugar and cream these together. Beat in the eggs and vanilla then use a spoon or spatula to mix in the dry ingredients.

  3. Roll into medium sized balls and place on prepared trays. They shouldn't spread too much so flatten slightly. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until lightly browned around the edges.

  4. Leave to cool on trays for a couple of minutes, before transferring to a wire cooling rack.

This recipe will make about 50 deelishis cookies.

  1. Kia ora Rori, this recipe sounds delicious, I have never made a batch of 50 cookies before. It reminds me of the cookies we make at home, except we use Besan (chickpea) flour and it makes the cookies filling and chewy. You did well with listing the ingredients and writing the method clearly. Next time you need to use a numbered list, let me know and I can show you how to do it :) Ka pai to mahi, Koka Rozie

  2. Ello Rori, nice Blog you got there I think it's really good and boy has a got a load of words, like I can't even count how many words there are!But like all Blogs theres MISTAKES. And one is that with the ingredients, there is no full stops at the end:(. So always check the end of sentences. OH yeah also one sentence doesn't with a captaill, but most of all it's great and fananating so Later!!! From Oscar:)
