Beach Clean up

This week, we did a beach clean up. Our teacher said there was a prize for who ever got the most trash. She said the prize was from Japan. We had to do it in groups of three. I was with Max and Momo.

The teacher gave everyone a bucket. Once we had our groups together and buckets sorted we went to the beach. We found a plastic bag and a plastic tube sort of thing. We walked all the way to the Wainui Surf Club. Our bucket was pretty much full by the time we got there. One of my friends found a towel and somebody else found a balloon with stuff in it. We had a play there for a while then we had to go back to school.

We walked back on the pathway and we found two beer bottles. A lot of people found beer bottles. Also, on the way back, I found a nerf dart and some kind of sweater.

When we got back to school we had to count all of the rubbish that we found. We didn't get too much but that is a good thing.

  1. Hi Rori I absolutely liked your blog post because you did paragraphs so it is easy to read and full stops and most importantly punctuation. There is nothing to give feedback on, so this is a amazing blog post well done.

  2. Dear Rori, I like your blog because it tells me what you did. I also like the fact that you mostly did nice long sentences. Some things that I think you could do better next time is maybe you could work on your intro a bit more. Good gob on your blog post. Sincerely yours

  4. Great blog post Rori. Well done for using your commas and paragraphs correctly! Next time, let's focus on adding a few more 'compound sentences'. This will mean you'll have a variation of sentence types, and makes your writing all the more interesting to read!

While you didn't win the prize for the most, you all took the task seriously, you worked hard and did such a good job!

Thank you for your positive, thoughtful, helpful comments.
Positive - something done well
Thoughtful - a sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what they had to say
Helpful - give some ideas for next time or ask a question you want to know more about
