Cook's Cove Walk

Cooks Cove Walk

It was Thursday morning when we went to Cooks Cove for a very tiring walk. The teachers were sorting out the driving groups. My mum took me and a few other kids,It was about a half hour drive to Tolaga bay.Only the years six's went to the walk because we were practising for our camp.

When we arrived we got told our walking groups I was with Hunter and Te atawhai and our teacher was matua Stephan. First we went up these stairs and just that was extremely tiring. We got to the a big statue and I thought we were done but guess what it was not even a quarter of the way we still had ages to go. Next we had to go up a mountain near cooks cove, witch was quite tiring. There were some downhill bits which were nice. After the hills and stuff we got to the look out it had a good view. This is the lookout picture

It was very tiring though. Next we went down lots of stairs which was a big relief but on the way back up thats just painful.Once we got down the stairs we got to have a brake and have some food. Then we wen't back up witch wasn't as hard as I thought when we got back to the start I sat down straight away then we headed back to school.
