Yesterday we went to douglas and moana street to deliver survey's to find out if people have seen little blue penguins. It was sort of hard but It was fun. There were three groups there was two for douglas street and one for moana rd. I went with one of the douglas groups.
So we started with at least two surveys each but I got three. Zoe didn't let me do my friends house but at least I got to do start with three. But the good thing was we all got another one so I got four overall.

Cooks Cove Walk
It was Thursday morning when we went to Cooks Cove for a very tiring walk.The teachers were sorting out the driving groups. My mum took me and a few other kids,It was about a half hour drive to Tolaga bay.Only the years six's went to the walk because we were practising for our camp.
When we arrived we got told our walking groups I was with Hunter and Te atawhai and our teacher was matua Stephan. First we went up these stairs and just that was extremely tiring. We got to the a big statue and I thought we were done but guess what it was not even a quarter of the way we still had ages to go. Next we had to go up a mountain near cooks cove,witch was quite tiring. There were some downhill bits which were nice. After the hills and stuff we got to the look out it had a good view.This is the lookout picture
4 week's ago we started school I am now in year 6.The first day was on wednesday we got to see the other kids in our class and get to know each other .We did a piece of art witch explained what we liked and our goals for this year. We went surfing on friday the second week of school it was quite dumpy but fun as.
On the second week we went to our awa witch was Hamanatua(river). We were making sand castles and stuff after that we went up maungaroa because it is our maunga.It was very tiring.After that we went to Te Poho -O- Rawiri and we learnt a song called Mama Panda. After that I realised we were going to our pepeha.
On Wednesday we went to kapa haka festival.We went on a bus to the showgrounds to do kapa haka I was kind of nervous but then I realised it wasn't so bad after all.We also got our fake moko on
It was actually fun our first song we did E te ariki we all bunched up in one group and started sing then the kya said neke atu and we all spreaded out again.Then we started singing u tina after we moved forwards to do the haka.I was in front row I was nervous at first but then it was fine because last year there was a lot more people but it wasn't as much this year. First we did our haka then we did kama te after that we did wainui E
Then we left the stage and sat down in front of it and waited for the rest of our school to finish.We sang with wai and nui and the song we sang was tu te ra mai and then we finished And headed back to school.
Yesterday I went to the inter school athletics.I got in for ball throw and 100 meter sprints.First I had ball throw me and my friend Reef and Cash we had to wait in line for our throw a lot of the people through pretty far but when i through it went so far it got me in first place Cash through further than everyone else except it was a no throw if you do not know what that is it it is when your foot goes over the line and that was what Cash did .Nobody bet so over all i came first.
100 meter. In the 100 meter I was in the second heat the calls was take your marks which is when you come up to the line then it is set you get ready then he clap these two wooden blocks.After the first heat went it was my turn.He did the calls and I ran off it was very tiring I came 1st by about an inch Awapuni came 2nd only just though I got in to the finals He did the calls and every one sprinted of I did okay for a while I nearly go 2nd but I came 3rd or 4th
